I hate having my neck touched and, whenever somebody does it, my shoulders are raised in order to block access to it and I moved my chin into my chest to really shut it away for anyone. Just a natural reaction, I do it the second my neck is touched. I have a girlfriend who really likes necks. WebJan 5, 2024 · The neck is a vulnerable area, and a dangerous area if struck. Many find the neck to be ticklish area, and feeling ticklish in vulnerable areas such as (the waist, neck etc...) is your body's way of protecting you from harm. And some people just dislike being touched, probably stems from sensory issues surrounding that. That's okay.

But exposure therapy does often help, it's the primary treatment for most specific phobias (works best with a professional therapist though).
